Trying to relearn past knowledge

Years ago I knew how to do a lot more
in photoshop than I remember now.
Recent events have caused me to reload
my OS to ElCapitan since Sierra
did not work with many of my programs.
In so doing I lost several actions, one of
which I had gotten from Photoshop CS3
and Scott Kelby's book 7-Point System
that I used for sharpening images as I would convert
from DNG to JPG files.
I had loaned my book to someone who
gave it away so I went online and found
an old copy so that I could recreate
the action. In doing so however I decided
to go through the lessons again as
much as possible since the newest Photoshop
is far advanced over the CS3 version.
Below are three images that I have played
with to try and use LAB in my processing again.

I still need more practice to get what I really want
but at least it has sparked the desire again.

Final Annex Update Dedication Day 020717

I was asked to take a picture of the setup for the dedication today.
So while at it I took some with my phone
but should have done it with my Canon instead
however I have had to reload all of the software for my computer
so I was stuck with the phone since  I couldn't process my RAW files.
(Today I was actually able to reload photoshop
so I may take these over.)

This is the lobby area displays. Some of them are really
quite fun. Interactive Displays.

A view of the court from the media area.

This is on the snd level hall wall. Some of them
change images, while others are always there.
I guess that was a way to display more of our
talented athletes from years past.

Elder Cook did the dedication.
I did not photograph any of the
service but did take some of the setup
prior to the service.

Snow is raising but the deer still make their way through

The snow is nearly up to her belly. More is expected tonight.

Under the trees it is obviously less.

This is also under one of the trees but it is
hard to tell except by the snow.

Fog crystals on a clear day

The fog left early on Jan 1, 2017
so I was able to take these images
with plenty of clear sunlight.
