Tonight I went on a walk intent on photographing
a hummingbird while it fed from this plant
which we just call our fire-stick flower.
I found other birds
and it was easy to take their picture.
Even a young one being fed
I even photographed a bee while at it.
All I wanted was an Hummingbird to visit.
Another couple came to watch
Then one finally came. I had only waited
about 45 minutes. My arms and hands
were getting tired holding the camera,
but it was worth it to me.
I loved this shot with it's wings appearing
to hold to the stem of the plant while eating.
Now I am hooked and will have to have a few more sessions.
