Friendly Pheasant

He came within only a few feet of me while I was 

working in the yard and luckily I had my camera nearby.

My friendly neighbor

The pheasant that lives in the field to the East of us

doesn't come around very close when I am outside'

 Well this time he came so close that I was almost 

unable to fit him into the camera frame.

 He is a beautiful bird.

King of the Rock

As I awoke this morning and looked out y window 

I quickly decided to grab my camera

and capture these images of a Pheasant Rooster

standing on one of our rocks.

Then it was as though he were announcing 

that he was King of the Hill (rock).

Then only seconds later it was time to move on.

 and he hopped to the ground.

Find the pheasants

The deer were resting in the small backyard of our neighbor prior to the bus coming. 

I took a few pictures before and after the bus arrived.

Then noticed the pheasants, they are in a couple of the images.

The other visitors that we see daily

These two and their chicks have been here all year. The corn has ended up feeding them the last month or so. 

She was hiding so well and didn't fly until I was less than 2 feet away from her.
