Lens problem discovered

I have recently been experiencing "Error 99" problems with my camera. Up until now I understood the problem to be caused by the shutter in the camera. However I recently was photographing for a dance studio just after having replaced the shutter and found that each time I switched to my smaller lens to do the group pictures I would experience the error 99 problems. I switched, after the second group set, to a second wide angle lens and experienced no problems the rest of the 3 hours of shooting that evening. So the next morning I put the problem lens back on the camera and shot 50 or more shots with no problems. So then on the way home from work I stopped and photographed this loading chute and in just a few short minutes experienced the error 99 again. It is an intermittent problem but for sure it is caused by the lens not the camera shutter. Of course the problem doesn't appear in the images since no image is even taken when it happens.

I have passed this chute a number of times and thought that I should stop and take some pictures of it but never did until I decided to see if the lens would still cause the error. What does it take for you to stop and photograph something interesting that you see everyday?

3 Exposures

I wanted to get the moon in more detail which cannot be had if you expose it to where you can see the sky and trees and hills. So I underexposed it and here are the results.

Here they are a little closer and it becomes obvious that the pictures are not sharp but they were taken handheld.

However I liked how the last one turned out even at a close-up view.

Provo Temple

Since it was conference weekend and a lot was said about temple attendance I decided to put a few shots that I had taken at the last wedding as we photographed around the Provo Temple. Hope that you enjoy them.
