An evening with the quail 09/22/20

It was a beautiful fall day and I was out in my yard 

when a family of quail came to visit. 

They flew up onto my fence and 

proceeded to pose for me.   

I am glad that they were not afraid of me.

The sun was setting and made for beautiful color 

on the mountain behind them.

I think y=that there were a couple of sets of parents 

and a number of younger chicks.

Then I turned the other direction facing west 

to capture the evening sunset.

Tis the Season for Visitors

As I was leaving for work I noticed Quail out under my Colorado Blue Spruce trees. 

And then on my way home 6 deer crossed the road

 in front of me at the park near my home. 

I turned on the bright light to catch these images 

of the little 2x3 point buck that was with them.
