021223-Elk near power sub-station

We saw a few deer as we headed out to see the elk herd.

The elk were all through the hills.

Then they all came down to the power sub-station

a few at a time.

It was a pretty sunset

They passed by me in single file as 

they went past the station.

It didn't STOP

We are blessed to be able to observe 

these beautiful animals year round

Five deer spent an entire day with us even as the 

grandchildren would run around the yard

They did get a bit excited with the grandchildren

 but still stayed around

They wanted to leave when I started

to get close enough toe photograph them

Oh well I deal with people that don't 

want their pictures taken either

s0 I know how to get them anyway

It was a "Sam dear" that made this snow angel

 

Blessed with wildlife

I sure am blessed to have

such beautiful creatures  

around my yard
