The trail to the Lairs was
pretty interesting with
lots of things to see along the way.
To get to the Lairs you go along
the Carmel Canyon Trail.
These pictures loaded in a reverse
order from when I took them
and the direction we had walked.
These next few were at the
end of our trek to the Lairs
as we exited Carmel Canyon.
Some areas of the trail were
narrow and deep.
These formations in the distance were fun because
as we walked the front ones changed
in how they fit with the furthest ones to the east.
Watch for the changes as we hiked.
This is our Heart of the
Goblette's Lair.
Looking out of the Goblette's Lair
Light of the sides of the Lair
The end of the Lair
The opening of the Goblette's Lair.
Looking down the trail from the Lair
Possibly the Goblin's Lair.
We didn't climb up to it.
The trail is right up there.
At this point you keep hiking another
half mile or so to the Goblette's Lair.
This was the cheeseburger on the hill
This is the formation that we referred to as
"The Sentry"
We referred to this one as
"The Scout Sign"
from the Boy Scouts of America
Another view of the Sentry before
it really took shape.
Formations moved!
If the other formation most known to the park
as the Three Sisters then this one should be called
"The Rest of the Family."
See how these formations changed
in relation to each other.

of the inside part of the park.
Was ET visiting the park when we were?
