A few minutes at the duck pond.

Well I did a photoshoot at a duck pond today and had a chance to do a few other photos while there. I have taken some of them and applied the LAB process again, see if you can tell the difference.

Another look at LAB

Recently on my way to a photo shoot in SLC I decided to take a picture of a canyon East Springville, Utah.

I have loaded two images that were just adjusted in photoshop as RGB images.

This second set of the same images were adjusted in LAB color.

My friends image adjusted with LAB color in photoshop

This is not one of my images even though I would live to claim it. It was done by a good friend of mine and the whole reason that I have posted it here is to show what can be done if the image is changed to LAB color and then an Apply Image command to bring it into the LAB mode.
Here are the steps.
1. Open the image in photoshop.
2. Go to "Image", "Mode", "LAB Color".
3. Then go to "Image", "Apply Image".
4.Then with the Apply Image window choose
Layer: Background
Channel: LAB
Blending: Multiply
(You can then adjust the opacity to the color that you desire. I left it at 100% just to show the dramatic effect that this would have on the image.)
5.Press OK and then in "Image", "Mode", RGB or CMYK which ever you need for web or print.

Fly Overs, living under an airport approach.

The air was busy friday afternoon above Centennial, Colorado. There was apparently a traffic jam on the ground near the park where we were playing because an helicopter kept circling the area. There were also several jets coming in and so I just had to try and shoot a picture of them.

A Photo Walk

It was pretty cold Saturday morning and there had been light fog the night before so I went on a photo walk of sorts. It was really quite cold so I didn't stay out too long but still had a lot of fun.
Even the birds made it look pretty cold.
The early morning light made for a beautiful backdrop.
I caught this one in the top of the tree and almost caught him as he flew away.

These geese were just out for a walk in the park I guess. Actually they apparently feed here at a local school yard and there are usually a lot more of them. I didn't get to see the large groups of them that day.

A very fun and fast weekend.

We went to Colorado for our Granddaughter's baptism into the church and then had fun with the other grandchildren while we were all there together. Here are a few of the images of the grandchildren.
