Jade's Senior Pictures

I was asked by a neighbor to do some Senior Pictures yesterday. The weather was snowy outside so we decided to do them inside. Now I like to photograph outside best but will do them inside rather than freeze any day even though it requires my turning my family room into a studio since I have no studio. It is fun though and I have bought several different backdrops from Amvona as they come on sale just for this purpose. I also put up a couple of umbrella lights since that is all I have ever been able to afford with the rates that I charge. I really would rather give away photos and did for years before deciding I better at least charge something so I could afford some equipment. Anyway the following images are just three from the session. I love how in photoshop a person can turn simple images into special ones. Of course with a beautiful model it is really a lot easier from the start.

More wedding.

Here are a few more images from the wedding. I like pictures with the bride and her nieces or the bride and groom with nephews and nieces. A wedding is so magical when you are that age and the memories from that single evening will stay with you for years. I still remember the ice cream cake that was served at my Aunts wedding and have loved it ever since. I must not have been able to get my fill of it that night and have secretly yearned for it ever since.

Isn't she pretty? I think so.

Now this young man just had to come and see what I was doing. No time to pose with all of the other nieces and nephews. I like these kinds of pictures because it tells a story without having to explain even though a picture similar to this was taken when I was young and a cousin of mine was close to the camera. I was over 40 years old when I was told that t was her dad that had the camera and she was headed to him. It explained a lot of pictures to me at that point knowing I had seen so many like it through the years. Now I even try to capture them since they are so fun for families to look back on in later years.

Well this was a fun one. The groom's father was trying to be sneaky and get a picture of me while the brides brother is wondering what he is up to and the brides sister-in-law was totally oblivious to it all thinking I was taking a picture of her.

One wedding completed , the next started

Well with one wedding completed we are full swing into starting plans for the second one this year that will be in July. These are the first set of engagement pictures that I have completed and I will post more on facebook later. There just doesn't seem to be enogh time to keep up as I would like on these blogs but I try.

This last image is particularly fun since the snow just behind his head looks like clouds if you are not looking too closely.
