I Love My Backyard

I still have this beautiful family of quail and this one was really interested in the little dog near where it sat on the fence.

Then there are the sunsets on the west side of my home.
It was really pretty.

However when I went to pick my tomatoes I was greeted by this little guy, not my real favorite form of wildlife to encounter.

And the sky away from the sunset is also beautiful.
(Almost looks lie cotton candy colored deep blue.)

My local wildlife, backyard Quail

There were a family of 14 quail on my lawn the other day when I got home and as I grabbed my camera they flew into my pine trees and one of them even perched on a fence post for it's picture..

It has been too long. Sorry

I got to go to Yellowstone National Park this summer for one day and I tried to make the most of it while I was there. In one day I took over 1300 pictures and here is only a sample. Yes I know I didn't put in Old Faithful but I will get to that later.

The Falls have always been such an amazing thing and they are so beautiful.

I liked the falls but I also loved the view of the entire gorge as well.

I really wanted to get up to the Mammoth Hot Springs and although I felt robbed to a point in that they are drying up so bad there is still a lot of beauty to photograph.

Then the animals are always so beautiful and proud. I will always love them.

Then finally there is the sunset.
It is beautiful all over the worl but only as beautiful as what you see each time and so I love to always capture it if I can.

A walk by the river

Our company moved from Spanish Fork to South Jordan and we have now been there week. Today I decided to take a walk for lunch since there is a trail that runs along the Jordan River. I stepped out of the trees to the river bank and saw this beautiful Sandhill Crane. I had been photographing flowers and not expecting the crane so the camera was way out of focus and took a few seconds to focus. I was afraid he would be long gone before I could get it to focus but when I did three quick shots I was rewarded with this one that I thought was pretty fun.

Happy Birthday McKinsey!! and a Sunday Drive.

Happy 5th Birthday and I am glad that Tia could make a cake for you. We had a great time visiting last week.

The girls loved some of the rocks around a small park that we found.

We wanted to take family pictures and they ended up being some as we walked around a small lake. It was pretty fun.

We took a hike around a small lake and as I was watching some of the wildlife spotted this one blending into it's surroundings.

The deer crossed the road in front of us in no hurry. I had my camera on my lap so as my son drove next to it I had him roll down his window and shot across in front of him just as the deer jumped the fence. Then I looked at my display and it was dark. Luckily it had enough raw data to pull it out pretty good.
