The Start and end of the day

SO this is how my day started today. I walked out to the car just before 6 A.M. and saw the planet and the moon fairly close agin as it was earlier this year when I photographed them real close to each other. Then when I got to work 15 minutes later and saw the usual wind standing the flag straight out from the pole I decided to photograph them again.
It was really quite beautiful.
Then as I left work and looked the same direction I saw two fires. One in the mouth of Hobble Creek canyon, the big one, and one in the mouth of Maple canyon just to the south. The following pictures I took as I occasionally pulled off the road on my way home and then the final ones are from my yard to the east of the house.

The view from my yard.

It looked like it was mostly grass that burned and burned quickly. I was interested in how the fire line seemed to go right to the edge of the ridge and stop as it climbed the hill in Maple Canyon. Most of the fire I think is pretty well stopped until the canyon winds kick in and start it to spread again.
